Today I want to talk about a reality very close to us but unfortunately given little respect.
Tipoteca The Italian foundation based in Cornuda in the province of Treviso, in the heart of the Veneto. Housed in the buildings of
Canapificio Veneto, Tipoteca was established to create initiatives that enhance the print shop. It will, in fact, document the meaning, origin and purpose of the work of Italian designers of Italian character, since the industrial revolution today. The
Tipoteca is primarily a privileged place for the collection of fonts, but not limited to: archive, museum, restoration workshops and printing laboratory and library are multiple realities of a single multi-purpose space. The Workshops of
Tipoteca are equipped spaces reserved for exemplifying of activities related to printing and typography in general, teaching and workshops, the restoration and maintenance of machinery.
Each workshop stands out for its intended use and each is headed by an eminent protagonist of Italian printing.
The museum is a route through multipurpose spaces: the melting shop, printing, restoration,
the composer, laboratories and classrooms.
A walk that offers scenic stretches and stretches immersed in the workplace, which turns into an encounter with the history of the character and the press.
That said, what are you waiting for?!! now go and visit this fantastic museum!
